Glass-fused to Steel Tanks

A premium breakthrough technology, the glass-fused steel (or enamelled steel) bolted tanks at Novarius Global are engineered for long-term performance with almost no maintenance. Bringing together the durability of steel and corrosion resistance of glass, these tanks are very well suited for storage of potable water, wastewater, industrial chemicals, bio-digesters, sludge, and dry bulk materials.

In a carefully controlled process, enamel frit (glass compounds) is chemically fused with steel sheets at very high temperatures (800 – 1000 degree C) in a state-of- art furnace to create an integrated coating that is chemically inert and impermeable to liquids. Applied to both surfaces, the glass-fused steel coating provides many years of trouble-free service even in harsh conditions.

Additionally, every glass-fused steel (GFS) panel is tested for pin holes (up to 1500 V), UV stability, thermal shocks, and other impacts. Thus, our GFS tanks are permanently resistant to corrosion, abrasion, and stains.
